“For me, before coming to Vietnam, I had a lot of prejudge. I considered south east Asia as a developing country and my vision of this it’s a dirty land, a lot of garbage, dangerous places…”

What’s your name and where are you from?

My name is Shiori and I come from Japan.

Why did you come to Vietnam?

I’ve been in Vietnam since 4 months already and it’s going to be the end of my trip this week. Hopefully, I will stay in Vietnam during 2 weeks to visit before going back to Japan.

What do you like the most in Vietnam? Why?

I really like the atmosphere. A lot of street food everywhere. Saïgon is a stressful city who always crowded but I like this active life here.

Do you think it is difficult to find a place to live in HCMC?

I think it’s difficult to find a accommodation by yourself in HCMC. But hopefully, when I came here, my boss introduce me to GlobeTrottr so it was quiet easy to find for my personal case.

Where do you live right now in Saigon ? What do you think about your neigboorhood ?

I live in Binh Thanh district near Thao Dien Bridge. I really like my neighborhood. Every morning I passed the street and everybody say hello to me or come to eat something. They are really, really nice and kindly.
