“I’ve learnt many new things from expats such as lifestyle, culture. Moreover, I had many memories with them especially on holidays. Living here help me more confidence in communicate with foreigners and I can improve my English as well”

What’s your name and where are you from?

My name is Tam but you can call me Pito. I’m from Nha Trang which is a beautiful sea city in Vietnam.

Why did you choose HCMC to live and work?

Because all of my friends are living and working in Saigon and another thing that I received an offer from one of my friend to help him transform his body and improve his health because I’m a Personal Trainer (haha); his weight was 92 kg (laugh…) then I decided to move here.

Have you ever thought about coming back to your hometown to work?

Yeah. Just because I’ve planned to open my own gym in my hometown.

How long have you stayed in HCMC?

I came here on March. It’s about 10 months I living here (smile)

Is it difficult to find a job in HCMC?

For me, it’s quite easy to find a job here. It’s just depend on what you want in your career path such as you just want to work for money, it’s really easy to find a job. But if you want to follow your desired, it’s quite hard to find a suitable job here but it’s still possible.

Do you think is it difficult to find a place to live in HCMC?

Ah…for me, it’s not much difficult and everything also depend on your expectation.

Have you ever lived in places for rent without management agency before? How was your experience?

Yes, of course. And that the first choice when I came here. My experience there is normal for me. I need to do all the things such as buying stuff, maintening many broken things and managing all the utilities bills by myself and it really take too much time and I don’t have time to do it on time.

How did you learn about GlobeTrottr? And why did you choose GlobeTrottr instead of living in places for rent without management agency?

Ah…My friend introduced me about GlobeTrottr. I chose GlobeTrottr because it’s a new experience for me in living and it’s also because a management agency can manage and control all the things or issues in the house and I don’t need to do all of the maintenance by myself. Moreover, it help me save a lot of time for more concerntrating on my job.

What do you look for in a place to live in? (or “What standards do you have for a place to live in?”)

Peaceful, Friendly housemates, Clean.

How long have you lived in our Co-living Space? How has your experience of living with international housemates been?

I’ve living here for 2 months. And I learnt many new things from expats such as lifestyle, culture. Moreover, I had many memories with them especially on holidays.

Do you think this experience has helped your confidence in communicating with foreigners?

Yes sure. Living here help me more confidence in communicate with foreigners and I can improve my English as well.
